We are happy to announce that there will be three workshops - one full-day workshop and two half-day workshops - that will be organized in conjunction with the A2B2C-SoiBio-RiaBio 2023 Conference in Rosario, Argentina.

Registration is individual and non-transferable. All applications will be accepted in order of registration until the available vacancies established by each teaching establishment are reached.

The workshops will be taught in Spanish.

  • Experimental Design in R

    This course offers a deep dive into the application of R as a powerful tool for the design and analysis of experiments. During this course, participants will explore the fundamental concepts of experimental design and immerse themselves in the practice of analyzing experimental data using R. Throughout the course, we will explore advanced concepts and practical techniques for analyzing experiments in R, learning to leverage its capabilities and applications. Among the topics that we will address, two central axes are defined. First, the statistical analysis of data, such as hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, regression models, among others. Secondly, the effective visualization of data, to improve the communication of results. Additionally, we will work with concrete examples and practical cases that will allow you to immediately apply the concepts acquired.
    Intended Audience & Level: Aimed at students (undergraduate and postgraduate) and professionals with prior knowledge in statistics and programming in R. It is ideal for those who wish to delve deeper into the design and analysis of experiments using R

  • Cancelled - Combinatorial Assembly of Large Protein Complexes

    In this workshop we will learn to assemble large protein complexes (of the order of megadaltons) using the combinatorial assembly technique from various pre-computed data sets with AlphaFold2-multimer. We will begin by developing the theoretical concepts necessary to generate a small manual combinatorial assembly and we will gradually advance until we are able to assemble higher order ones in an automated way.
    Intended Audience & Level: Intended for students (undergraduate and postgraduate) with knowledge of: basic R, basic Linux and basic concepts of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th protein structure.

  • Bioinformatics for biodata analysis using Machine Learning and network approaches

    Practical Workshop RIABIO
    This is a Workshop on Bioinformatics composed of 3 Advanced Practical Sessions to learn how to use and apply a series of bioinformatic algorithms and tools developed in R or in Bioconductor. The Workshop will be divided in 3 sessions addressing complementary topics.
    Intended Audience & Level: The audience for this workshop will be any PhD student or young researcher with a modicum of bioinformatics experience, who is interested in learning how to use various complementary R-based protocols and pipelines applied to the analysis of transcriptomic data generated with genome-wide expression techniques (mainly RNA-seq and scRNA-seq).
